Large pink-purple daisy flowers bloom on long stems with distinctive narrow foliage, each showcasing a prominent central cone that adds visual interest to any arrangement. These versatile blooms work beautifully fresh or dried for flower arranging, bringing natural elegance to your home. Plant them in a mixed border where they'll add impressive height and attract beneficial pollinators like bees and butterflies to support your garden's ecosystem. Echinacea Angustifolia is exceptionally cold-hardy, making it a reliable choice for Australian gardens that experience cooler winters. These stunning flowers are also valued for their traditional uses, offering you multiple ways to enjoy their beauty and benefits throughout the seasons.

How To Grow:

Growing Echinacea Angustifolia from seed requires patience and a few simple preparation steps to ensure success. Begin with seed treatment, which involves two essential processes. First, prepare a bleach solution using 1 part bleach to 10 parts water, then soak your seeds for 5 minutes and rinse thoroughly. Next, place the seeds in moist vermiculite, seal them in a plastic bag, and refrigerate for 2 weeks to provide the cold, moist conditioning they need. After this period, remove the seeds from the bag and vermiculite, then sow them as usual—germination typically occurs within 4-5 days. Keep in mind that Echinacea is a three-year journey: your first year will produce leafy growth, the second year brings beautiful flowers, and by the third year you'll be able to harvest the roots. This timeline allows the plant to establish a strong foundation, rewarding your patience with a thriving perennial that will continue giving back season after season.
