Waltham Butternut was developed in the 1940s. The flesh was described smooth as butter and sweet as a nut. One of the most popular culinary pumpkins today.

How to grow -

Germinate in warm soil or pot.

Water well

Plenty of well rotted manure 

Seed sowing times 

Sow in spring after frost has passed.

Harvest-

Harvest when the stalk turns woody, cut the stalk from the vine and leave the stalk attached.

Harvest in 19 weeks , yields 6 kg per plant.
